Using your fingertips, gently massage a small amount of hair conditioner into your scalp and hair. Massaging action helps absorption. Leave for 10 to 15 minutes then wash and apply as usual

For better results, put a small amount of shea butter (available in the store) in the palm of your hand, rub your palms together and scratch the ends of the hair only or comb it along the length of your hair.
